Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church
Our Heritage & Mission

Who We Are

Our Mission

Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church exists to proclaim Jesus Christ—crucified and risen for the forgiveness of our sins. We gather around God’s Word and Sacraments to be nurtured and equipped in the Christian faith, serving our neighbors in love and mercy.

Our Affiliation

We are a member congregation of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS). As a confessional Lutheran church, we subscribe to the doctrines of the evangelical, orthodox, catholic faith as taught by the Holy Scriptures and confessed in the Book of Concord.

Our History

For decades, Shepherd of the Hills has stood as a beacon of Christ's light in the Kimberling City and tri-lake area. Our church was established to provide a dedicated, confessional Lutheran home for the residents and visitors of the Ozarks. Over the years, we have remained deeply committed to liturgical worship, faithful stewardship of the Sacraments, and supporting our local community with quiet dedication.
